‘If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.’

Below are a few things that make sunbeams shine from my face:
My first love is MUSIC, I am more of a selector than a DJ. Collecting sounds from all over the planet.

TRAVEL: PLACES & PEOPLE
Appreciating the diversity and constant change of the planet we find ourselves upon for our short lives. I am constantly learning and have always been curious, probably thanks to my explorative childhood (growing up on 3 different continents), and long may it continue.
This is cine film I edited from my childhood in Mexico, in the early 80s.
With a few shots from Portugal and Boston. Thankful for those years of global exploration, freedom and growth. NB – Always wear sun cream.
MAKING STUFF BY HAND
Screen printing, ceramics, collage, painting and generally anything that takes me away from screens, creating things to physically hold/gift to people. Like this beer…

ART
Miranda July is one of my art heroes, I had the pleasure of meeting her at the Interfaith Charity Shop at Selfridges project. The shop was a brilliant juxtaposition among the high end fashion shoppers looking for KENZO or Balenciaga. Instead finding the shabby second hand selections, in what was so perfectly fitted out like a shop on Northampton’s High St in 2002. Some of the wealthy shoppers had never heard of the concept of donating their second hand clothes to charity, and the mix of religions running the store was a powerful act of unity.

COLLABORATION
Getting involved with as many random creative/art projects as possible is a win for me. I like to be busy.
‘TAPE HEAD’ – What do you listen to on your route home? Probably the John Barnes Rap on repeat like everybody else…

THE SKY
I started CLOUD CLUB in 2015 as a general mood lifting practice, a simple way to spread joy and positivity. I gathered some pals and did some upward appreciation.
It is very easy – Raise your chin, lift your gaze and hopefully your spirits will follow by just looking up and out at the infinite skies. Day or night, clear or cloudy.
My initial inspiration came from the wild cloud formations over the Mexican coast, yet any sky will do. You can do this alone or with others, with a picnic, tasks, poems, pens, paper, music, words or just quiet contemplation. Anyway you choose do it, the aim is to tap into a sense of awe and wonder at the cosmos and take a brief escape from the grind of daily life. Then came the Instagram account, which, is silly —since the whole point is to stop looking down at screens.
FAMILY
This is Ivy Mae, or Ivanator, sister to Otis Seamus, a.k.a. Oatface Killer. My niece and nephew. Two little people in the big mix of my wonderful fun and inspirational family.
